Los Angeles (AP) — Jane Powell, who starred in the Golden Age of Hollywood musical, has died.
A longtime friend said Powell died of natural causes in Wilton, Connecticut on Thursday.
Powell sang with Howard Keel in “Seven Bride for Seven Brothers” and danced with Fred Astaire in “Royal Wedding” in a 20th-century film.
Powell played virtually her life, starting at the age of five as a radio singing genius in Portland, Oregon.
She made her first film at the age of 16 and graduated from a teenage role to co-starring a gorgeous musical until the mid-1950s.
Powell was 92 years old when he died in his longtime home in Connecticut.
