Corpus Christi, Texas — This year, St. John Paul II Centurion was on the brink of school history. The school was established to host the first playoff game with Frasatti Catholics. However, the game was canceled because a Frassati player tested positive for the coronavirus.
In a letter sent to his parents, the Frasatti Catholic Athletic Director confirmed to JPII officials that the Frasatti players were in close contact with the rest of the team.
A sad day for Frasati’s seniors when the season is over. The entire team will need to self-quarantine for the next two weeks, according to JPII officials.
Centurions will advance to the second round against Fort Bend Christians in Sugar Land on Saturday, November 28th.
