Nashville, TN (WKRN)-The Tennessee Titans was a Julio Jones trader earlier this week and was at the OTA practice ground on Thursday.
The former Atlanta Falcons wide receiver showed why he’s still an elite-showing off with his flashy footwork, sharp routes, and solid hands.
Kayla Anderson of News2 has posted a video of Jones’ footwork on Twitter.
Jones spent his entire professional career in Atlanta. He is ready for a new start while he is grateful to the organization for giving him the opportunity.
“I love it because I’m here in Titans,” Jones said. “I’m very excited to be part of this organization. Team comrades. The whole atmosphere here. It feels like I was in college at the University of Alabama. It’s a great and wonderful day here spent.”
Most Titans fans consider this a solid addition, but there are doubts about his health and endurance at age 32.
Jones was limited to nine games last season due to a hamstring injury. He believes he recovered too early from his first injury last season. He said he believed there was a lot left in the tank and sent a message to “tune in” to those who questioned his health.
“I know what I have in the tank and we are talking about” age “. I am 32 years old I’m young. In football it’s old, but it’s either done or not. I’m still fast, I’m still strong, “Jones said.
And when it comes to taking part in this dynamic attack, a former Alabama star said he was ready to roll. Jones, who scored an average of 9.8 targets at the Falcons, may see that number decrease, but that’s not a problem.
“I’m not a statistician. I’ve never been a statistician. I’m a guy on the team. I’m excited to be part of the organization. Whatever they need for me, I will do that and play my part at a higher level, “Jones said.
Jones revealed how excited he was to line up across wide receiver AJ Brown on Sunday. This will be a nightmare to oppose defense against the game plan.
“One Punch Man, but I’d love to see, he’s definitely the number one receiver and definitely a dog. He’s competitive. I’ve shown him the little things. But he has it all, “Jones added.
Jones continues to be familiar with his new environment, learning about the team’s attacks and planning to attend a mandatory mini-camp next week. Head coach Mike Vrabel didn’t set a timeline on how long Jones would take to complete the process, but he’s not worried about it.
“It will take as long as it takes,” Vrabel said. “Going towards the end of the minicamp, you’ll see where he is. No doubt, I’m excited about him. He says there’s some kind of schedule before he knows the whole crime. That. I hesitate to predict it. “
Playing with a new team for the first time in his professional career has some tweaks, but Jones said he’s heading for the challenge. And when that happens, he’s ready to help the team win.
“In the end, you want to create a culture of victory, but you get the job done,” Jones said.
