Gavel-to-Gavel coverage begins at 8 am. Watch the live video below.
on Monday, Judge Wolf has ruled in a bishop’s hearing to allow the state to show the confessions recorded on jury Daniels’ tapes.Daniels then withdrew his confession, but the judge ruled that the state provided sufficient supporting evidence to be shown on Tuesday.
Also on Monday, Joe Clyde’s half-parent Alex testified that he had seen Joseph beat Joe Clyde, take him out of the house, and go down the road.
His testimony was different from what Joe Clyde told investigators shortly after his disappearance. In his first interview with the Children’s Advocacy Center, Daniels said he wasn’t doing anything wrong. In a second interview a few days later, he enthusiastically talked about Blue Man, Blood Apple, tigers, and teleports.
Alex told the jury on Monday that he was taking sleeping pills at the time and was worried that telling the truth could harm someone. He was also due to his traumatic nature. He suppressed a part of his memory and testified that he remembered it recently.
Jessica Tigert, who interviewed Alex both times, testified that there could have been multiple reasons for changing her account, given the possible trauma she experienced.
