Kansas City, Missouri — A Kansas man arrested for a riot in the US Capitol pleaded guilty to a parade, demonstration, or picket’s plea on Wednesday.

Mark Leveguila, 32, from St Marys, Kansas, will be sentenced to up to six months in prison and a fine of up to $ 5,000. He is also required to pay $ 500 for the nearly $ 1.5 million damage inflicted on the Capitol during the riots.

The FBI interviewed Rebegira on January 15 after receiving the tip and allowed him to enter the Capitol on January 6.

Mr. Leveguila said he had traveled from St. Mary’s to Washington, DC to protest the proof of the 2020 election results.

According to court documents, he told the FBI that police shrugged when asked if he could enter the Capitol building. After that, Revegira recorded himself while joining the crowd entering the building through the fire door on the ground floor.

Witnesses alleged that Rebegira sat in a legislator’s chair and stole a bottle of liquor from the office. Rebegila has denied property theft, property damage, or assault on law enforcement officers.

This is the third time Kansas residents have been found guilty of being involved in a riot. Two leavenworth females Previously pleaded guilty in September.
