The Kern County Sheriff’s Office announced on Tuesday that a tour of its headquarters will be open to the public this month.
It is scheduled to be held from 9:00 am on Saturday, June 26th.
According to a KCSO news release, it features departmental air support, K-9, SWAT, explosive ordinance, training simulators, and search and rescue units. Residents in attendance said they could learn about the sheriff’s office’s specialized forces, watch demonstrations and ask questions.
The tour is open to individuals of all ages. Adults are required to have ID at check-in. The tour takes about 90 minutes and includes considerable walking.
