KDHE reports 25 more Kansas deaths, 112 new hospitalizations due to COVID – Wichita, Kansas

Wichita, Kansas (KSNW) —The Kansas Department of Health and Environment has reported 4,712 new coronavirus cases in Kansas over the past two days. At the same time, 5,499 Kansas were negative for the virus.

So far, there are no cases of COVID-19 omicron variants in Kansas, but there are 257 new cases of delta mutations.

KDHE states that an additional 25 Kansas deaths are associated with COVID-19, with 6,730 deaths in the state. Health officials also say that an additional 112 Kansas have been hospitalized for COVID-19 in the last two days.

Kansas continues to be vaccinated against COVID-19. According to KDHE, about 32,000 doses have been given since Wednesday morning.

  • 7,128 Kansas received their first vaccination
  • 7,353 doses
  • 17,375 people received a third dose

Of the Kansas states eligible for vaccination, KDHE reports that 60.85% have received at least one vaccination and 52.72% are considered fully vaccinated.
