Topeka, Kansas (KSNT) —The Kansas Labor Department website was backed up after being shut down for several days due to technical issues and maintenance.
A spokesman for the state’s Ministry of Labor told KSNT News’s Capitol that the Get-Kansas-Benefits and federal pandemic unemployment support websites were back online Thursday morning. However, claimants can anticipate delays in some programs that are expected to catch up within next week.
“The deferred unemployment insurance benefits will catch up with the payment of benefits this week and next week. All regular and PEUCUI claimants will either deposit their UI benefits into their bank account or debit within the next 5-7 days. It will be loaded onto the card. PUA recipients may experience additional delays. “

This is because some claimants are dissatisfied with having to wait for a new debit card issued by the department after switching providers to US Bank. Some petitioners have a one to two week delay in receiving their pre-signed card. According to the agency, for claimants who are still waiting for their debit card to be mailed, the benefit payment will be pre-loaded and will probably take place next week.
A spokeswoman said the department encouraged plaintiffs to:
1. To check the status of your debit card click here..
2. If the complainant cannot find the status of the card, log in to your GetKansasBenfits account and[支払いオプション]You can confirm that you have accepted the disclosure on the tab.
3. Make sure that the registered address is the latest address that the department has.
