This is a free community event organized by the Kaiser Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with the Kaiser Fire Department and Kaiser City.
The annual lighting ceremony takes place at the Wellary Plaza, named after Kaiser’s resident Dave Wellary. wood.
Wellary Plaza is where River Road meets Cherry Avenue. If you’re driving along the river road and you can’t find it, look for a tall tree with lots of people nearby.
Children under the age of 12 will be selected by lottery and application will begin at 6 pm. The event has an application table. The child simply needs to fill out the form with his name and age.
Two names will be drawn and you will be asked to join Santa as you flip the switch that illuminates the holiday tree.
Santa arrives at Kaiser at around 6:15 pm and rides a fire truck to Wellary Plaza, courtesy of a friend of the Kaiser Fire Department. The actual reversal of the tree light switch is expected to occur shortly thereafter.
The Whiteaker Middle School Choir provides Carol’s songs.
