Kern County Public Health Services reported six new coronavirus deaths and 816 cases on Wednesday morning.
This has killed 550 people in Khan since the pandemic began. There are 81,490 confirmed cases.
It is estimated that a total of 22,331 people have recovered from their illness and 13,771 have recovered.
This is a breakdown of the age of positive cases. 9,752 people up to 17 years old. 49,783 people aged 18-49. 14,573 people aged 50-64. 7,329 people aged 65 and over.
The state reports that 441 people have been hospitalized in COVID-19 in Khan, of which 108 are in the intensive care unit.
The Department of Health reminds residents that they can find a test site by visiting kernpublichealth.com, clicking the COVID-19 button, and searching for “find a test site near you.”
The general public can visit https://kernpublichealth.com/coronavirus-vaccine/ to get current vaccination information, including people and resources that fall into a particular phase and tier. On Friday, public health said all priority groups within Phase 1a of the COVID-19 vaccine schedule were eligible for vaccination in Kern County.
