Kingsville, Texas — On Saturday, a special dedication ceremony was held for women in Kingsville who have devoted most of their lives to helping others and the city.

The city’s pavilion was dedicated to Maggie Salinas devoting 60 years of life and making the city of Kingsville better for the inhabitants. Maggie supported the city’s pioneering and rich cultural events that lasted for years, and in April the Kingsville City Commission decided to name the pavilion after her.

“She is 87 years old and is still working on the Mother Julia project. Mother Julia was a nun here in Kingsville. She is two steps away from the saints and is involved in everything,” said Gloria Bigger Cantu. Stated. Maggie’s friend.

Maggie Salinas was the first Latina to vote for the city council to have a facility named after her.
