Knee injury sidelines Nebraska RB Gabe Ervin indefinitely – Omaha, Nebraska

Omaha, Nebraska 2021-09-20 15:40:50 –

Lincoln, Nebraska (AP) — With Gabe Irvin Jr. in the background, Nebraska will play indefinitely and could be injured in the knee in a defeat in Oklahoma.

Director Scott Frost says Irvine has an injury to his right patellar tendon. The tendon extends from the lower part of the patella to the tibia.

Irvine was injured when he took over in the third quarter and slipped untouched on the line of scrimmage.

Freshmen in Buford, Georgia, started the Cornhusks match between Illinois and Fordham, backing up in the last two matches.

Frost did not appoint a starter for Saturday’s match in Michigan.
