Kansas City, Missouri — The University of Kansas Health System said it received news of a planned protest Friday morning from a group protesting the organization’s vaccine requirements.
In a media release Thursday night, KUHS officials say they were noticed by a protest group set up Friday from 6am to 10am.
Early this month, KUHS announced that by December 1st, employees, volunteers, students, temporary workers, contractors and all KU Health System physicians working in facilities in the Kansas City area will be required to be vaccinated.
Police at the University of Kansas went to the scene to keep patient care unaffected, but officials said the protests believed it was peaceful, according to a statement.
