Tucson, Arizona (KGUN) — After 9 months of closure La Cochina and Thor Boys I’m back and I’m busier than ever.
Seeing the kitchen staff working hard and the community enjoying the meal again is a moving experience for LaCo owner Jo Schneider.
“When I’m here and there’s music playing, or when there’s music on stage and people are talking and having fun, the world doesn’t look so scary, so I literally cry,” she says. Told.
In the midst of a pandemic, she and her son decided to close the restaurant because they wanted to be part of the solution.
Schneider said the resumption felt right now.
“We didn’t advertise much. We just opened the door and wanted people to come back and the Tucson community always appear,” she said.
The comeback wasn’t easy, but the team did.
“We were fortunate enough to get people back. It’s about taking care of each other,” Schneider said.
That is exactly the feeling of the restaurant Sous-chef Taisen and Christopher.
“Joe took care of us, all of us.[by] Ask how we are doing [and] I’m trying to help us with any kind of money if she can or can work, “said Taisen.
Sous-chef said resumption meant returning to the family.
“It was like a reunion,” said Taisen.
The restaurant is located on 201N Court Avenue and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
