Honolulu (KHON2) — On Friday, the Hawaii Department of Health’s Food Safety Department issued a green placard to the China Bowl Asian Restaurant and approved its reopening.
The restaurant was allowed to reopen after a follow-up inspection that revealed that all serious food safety breaches had been corrected.

They received a red placard on May 17th and were immediately closed After the epidemic of cockroaches and rodents.
A follow-up was conducted on May 19, according to DOH, but there was still evidence of an active rodent population. By the second inspection on May 25, all serious violations had been fixed.
The restaurant was advised to regularly clean areas with food debris and grease buildup. They were also told to send DOH’s monthly pest control service report.
