Tulsa, Oklahoma 2021-10-22 16:28:54 –

Tulsa, Oklahoma — Lancefly, Oklahoma Health Commissioner, resigned on Friday.

“It is an honor to serve Oklahoma and promote the health of all Oklahoma people,” said Dr. Lance Frey, MD. “I am impressed with the dedication, resilience and tenacity of the OSDH team. They have been working with Oklahomans for COVID-19 testing, vaccinations, important information as well as other life-saving services for the past two years. We have been working hard to make it accessible. “

Fry has been in that role since May 2020, handling much of the state’s COVID-19 pandemic response.

“Dr. Fry is a steady leader in Oklahoma’s COVID response, from his role in the Oklahoma Governor’s Solution Task Force’s surge program to leading the deployment of the top 10 vaccines nationwide as a health commissioner. “We did,” said Governor Kevin Stitt. “With a 60% reduction in cases and hospitalizations in recent weeks, Dr. Frey has positioned the Oklahoma Department of Health to continue to effectively manage COVID and serve the state at an unprecedented time. Thank you for that. “

Governor Stitt recently accused OSDH of being “illegal” in a settlement on a non-binary birth certificate from Oklahoma, who currently lives in Oregon.

Deputy Commissioner Keith Reid is currently a Provisional Health Commissioner.
