Nashville, Tennessee (WTVF) — Landtrust, Tennessee is once again hosting a Nature Walk and Education Program directly as more people continue to be vaccinated. This weekend, the general public has a chance to come out and have a good time.

On Saturdays, self-guided hikes are held along the nature trail. They have reopened Glen Leven Farm to the public and are hosting these events once a month from February.

The mission of the Tennessee Land Trust is to preserve the unique features of Tennessee’s natural and historic landscapes and locations for future generations. This includes the conservation of resources such as agricultural land, forests and habitats throughout the state.

Since its founding in 1999, Tennessee’s Land Trust has protected more than 420 real estate properties, totaling 131,000 acres, across the state.

In addition to these publicly available nature hikes, Landtrust regularly hosts scout troops and has ongoing partnerships with Metronashville Public Schools to allow students to participate in field studies during the school year. I’m out.

Of course, because of the pandemic, they couldn’t do that for most of 2020, so they were still figuring out another way to reach students.

They are excited to welcome students and their families on the farm tomorrow. Reservations are required and the ticket is $ 5. You can find more information here..
