Large tree crushes occupied vehicle in Lawrence County – Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

State police say that a driver is lucky to be alive after a large tree fell onto his vehicle in Slippery Rock Township.The driver struck the tree around 11 p.m. Friday on Copper Road, which caused it to fall on top of the vehicle. The tree crushed the front passenger side of the vehicle.Crews said that the driver was conscious when they arrived and suffered minor injuries.The man was taken into police custody. It has not been confirmed why, but the Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 team did see beer cans in the vehicle.
