Las Vegas (KLAS) — A 30-year-old Las Vegas man was charged with domestic violence after being arrested Wednesday after an incident at a company near Valleyview and Twain in Central Valley on Tuesday.

Arquel Ortiz-Jimenez has been accused of grabbing a woman with her hair and hitting her into a car.

Police initially sought civilian assistance in the kidnapping case before learning that Ortiz Jimenez and the woman lived together in an East Valley dwelling.

Ortiz-Jimenez is detained at the Clark County Detention Center. He was scheduled to appear in court Thursday morning. According to prison records, he is detained on bail of $ 3,000.

Police found Ortiz-Jimenez using video surveillance and telephone records at the 3885 S. Valley View Blvd Collision Service Center after the incident on Tuesday. The employer called 911 and helped the police get a surveillance video. The writing displayed on one of the vehicle windows helped police determine the connection to Ortiz-Jimenez.

The towing company helped the metro track the vehicle to Ortiz-Jimenez and finally to his address at 3100 blocks on S. Mojave Road.

After the detective arrested him in his apartment, Ortiz Jimenez admitted what had happened after he faced surveillance images. He told police that his girlfriend left the apartment with his one-month-old son on Tuesday night and didn’t come back.
