Las Vegas (KTNV) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has updated the murder case since Monday afternoon, 1979.

LVMPD met with the media and provided details about the cold case, which dates back over 40 years. Since 1979.

Lieutenant Ray Spencer said the murder involved a 16-year-old western high school student who was kidnapped, raped, and killed.

She was finally seen at school at Dairy Queen, and backpacks were later found on Decker Boulevard and Charleston Boulevard, but the incident cooled. Her body was also found in the area.

However, thanks to the generous donations, they were able to retest the DNA samples and identify the suspect in the case.
