Las Vegas (KLAS) – A Las Vegas woman is asking the public for information about the crash that killed her husband in March.
Six months after Steve Whited died in a motorcycle crash, his wife Debra Whited told 8NewsNow that he believed there was more to the case.
“In December, we got married for 40 years,” Whited said of her deceased husband. “It was really hard for me because no one expected him to die.”
Steve died after crashing a newly purchased motorcycle at Ramboulevard near Wyoming Avenue, Debra said.
According to a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police traffic accident report, witnesses described an unknown car that reportedly turned in front of Steve on Ram Boulevard.
The case was closed and no prosecution was filed, but Debra wants to hear from someone else holding the steering wheel that day.
“Whoever was the unknown car there that night, it caused the accident,” Debra pleaded. “They somehow need to come forward.”
She told 8NewsNow that she and her family feel they don’t have a complete story yet, so they want more answers.
“My family isn’t really closed in this regard,” she explained. “And that’s what’s upset about it.”
Debra said he wanted to move forward, remembering a man he didn’t expect to lose soon.
“I don’t know if we can get over this,” Debra concludes.
Police did not identify the car that pulled in front of Steve Whited on Ram Boulevard around 6:45 pm on March 30, 2021.
The official told 8 news. This was considered a single vehicle collision as there was no vehicle-motorcycle collision.
