Baton Rouge, Louisiana (KLFY) – The Louisiana Department of Health has identified an outbreak associated with the Louisiana Classic Wrestling Tournament held at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales on January 15 and 16.
LDH states that it has received more than 20 reports of athletes, staff and participants who tested positive for COVID-19.
People who participated in the tournament on either January 15th or 16th, according to people familiar with the matter, thought they were infected with COVID-19 and immediately contacted their healthcare provider even if they had no symptoms. You need to be inspected.
They say that individuals attending the event need to monitor the following COVID-19 symptoms: It can appear 2 to 14 days after exposure to the virus and should be quarantined or at home to prevent further spread.

- Shortness of breath or dyspnea
- Muscle and body pain
- New loss of taste and smell
- sore throat
- Stuffy nose or runny nose.
