Lead prosecutor in Barry Morphew murder case resigns – Colorado Springs, Colorado

Chaffee County, Colorado-One of the chief prosecutors in the Barry Morph murder case resigned within a year of the trial.

Deputy District Attorney Jeff Lindsay Will leave the 11th District Attorney’s Office and work for the 10th District Attorney’s Office in Pueblo. His last day is November 5, 2021.

Lindsey handled many of the Morphew cases in a previous inquiry. Barry Morph’s wife, Sae Yamamoto, disappeared on Mother’s Day weekend in 2020, but her body has not yet been discovered. Morph was arrested on May 5, 2021 on charges related to her murder.

There is still no word from Lindsey if this move has anything to do with the incident. Lindsey started her career in Chaffee County.

Currently, there are four other prosecutors in the Morph case, and DA Linda Stanley said he plans to bring more prosecutors before the trial. Morph’s trial is scheduled for May 2022.

Morph’s next court appearance is scheduled for November 9. Currently from prisonReleased in a $ 500,000 bond.
