Lexington, Kentucky (LEX 18) —Jack O’Lantern Trail returns to McConnell Springs Parks this month, and Lexington Parks and Recreation is asking residents to donate carved pumpkins to enable the event.
Regular customers can donate a single pumpkin, or groups can plan special pumpkin grouping concepts or sculptures.
You can donate a Jack O Lantern by submitting a pumpkin oath at lexingtonky.gov/jack-o-lantern-trail.. Pumpkin donors will receive a free voucher as well as a cricket press poster to commemorate the event.
Pumpkins must be carved and unloaded at McConnell Springs from October 23rd to 26th.
The Jack O Lantern Trail illuminates McConnell Spring Spark from October 27th to 30th.
Public night hikes run from October 27th to 30th from 6:30 pm to 10 pm. Admission is $ 5 per person (free for children under 12 years old) or “payable amount”. All proceeds from the event will benefit McConnell Springs.
Trails also include campfires and s’mores, live owls from classroom creatures, and autumn food and drink.
