Lightning’s Brayden Point unlikely to play in Game 6 vs. Avs – Colorado Springs, Colorado

Colorado Springs, Colorado 2022-06-26 11:55:07 –

Tampa Bay Lightning is not expected to reach Brayden Point in the lineup on Sunday night trying to stop the defeat of the Colorado Avalanche in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Lightning coach John Cooper said he has no plans to change the lineup for Sunday’s match. In other words, points will not be withdrawn after missing the last three games of the team.

“It’s a shame because it’s a serious injury,” Cooper said without going into the details of the exact injury that plagued Point.

Tampa Bay, who is bidding for 3 Pete as the Stanley Cup champion, has recorded 3-2 in the Best 7 Series. Colorado needs another victory to raise the Stanley Cup for the first time since 2001.

Point suffered a lower body injury on May 14th in Round 7 of the First Round Series against the Toronto Maple Leafs. He missed the next 10 games of the team before returning to the series opener against Avalanche.

The 26-year-old has two goals and three assists in nine playoff games.
