Lights and frights as neighborhoods prepare for Halloween – Tucson, Arizona

Tanque Verde, Arizona (KGUN) —Halloween is only a few days, but preparations for the big day began a few weeks ago in one neighborhood.

“The decoration process is a process. It probably took 12 to 16 hours,” said Rose Martin, president of the Forty Niner County Club Homeowners Association, about her decoration.

Martin is one of the many people in the neighborhood of the Forty Niner Country Club on Halloween.

“It’s expanding every year,” said Mike Desley, who has been decorating his home for 12 years. “I change something every year. I like it very much.”

But they are just two of the many people behind the light and horror neighborhood.

“This neighborhood is especially wild, as more and more people are starting it and really going out,” Des’ree said.

“Halloween isn’t just one day, it’s the whole season,” Martin added. “So there’s no better way to introduce it than to get the community to start decorating.”

The decoration is great, but more importantly, they both said the candies have reached the norm.

“You need to have candies. You go through a lot of candies,” Dessly said. On average, he earns 500 to 1,000 people every Halloween.
