Ganado, Texas — On Wednesday afternoon, a Corpus Christi man pointed his gun at himself after shooting a 56-year-old woman in a car in a parking lot at a grocery store in Ganado.
Ganado Police Chief Jeff Merritt said Corpus Christi’s 39-year-old Joshua Lee Seahorn was found in his car on County Highway 246. The shooting site of the original parking lot.
Earlier, police said he shot the modesta “Molly” Caballero, who was in her car outside the grocery store. The merit was that when Caballero was shot by Seahorn, he was in the store before returning to the car.
“He was clearly on his way back from North Texas to Corpus Christi,” Merritt said. “We are still trying to identify what he was doing in Ganard at the time of the shoot.”
The merit said there was no relationship between Caballero and Seahorn.
Caballero was taken to the emergency room at El Campo Memorial Hospital and then to Houston Memorial Herman Hospital.
Merit said Caballero died of a wound early Thursday morning.
No other injuries have been reported.
