Wichita, Kansas (KSNW) – Family seeks help after 21-year-old Wichita legend Johnson died in an accident in Kellogg early Thursday. Johnson leaves his one-year-old son behind.
Johnson’s family wants specific needs that cannot be purchased over-the-counter. 1 year old Daemyn Porter needs breast milk.
Local moms are stepping up to the pump to make sure the little boy has all the nutrition he needs.
“My heart broke quickly. I have two daughters and I’m breastfeeding only, so I know the need,” said Victoria Guella. She donates as much milk as possible.
“Mom is one of the strongest groups out there,” said Becky King.
In a fridge full of breast milk, King isn’t skipping beats to help. “My best friend is the one who tagged me in the post. She is also breastfeeding and has milk to donate. My sister’s breastfeeding also has milk to donate,” King said. Said.
King has a one-year-old self and knows why this is important to Daemyn. “Some people don’t switch to infant formula when breastfed. Some babies literally boycott their diet because they don’t have milk. I mean it’s just miserable, you can just help. It’s terrible to have a grumpy baby who can’t. “
Mothers are confident that the local breastfeeding community will help Johnson’s baby’s health and nutrition.
“She is someone to many, and too many are all about her. So take into account whether it’s your family, your friends, your co-workers, you too You’ll want this, “Gera said.
“I hope they have a big freezer,” King said.
The family is still sad and not ready to speak, but so far they are grateful for their support.
In addition to breast milk, the family collects size 6 diapers, wipes, clothes, and other items that can help the family recover. If you are looking for help, the family has nominated a friend to collect all the donations. You can reach her Please click here.
