Corpus Christi, Texas — The local nonprofit Choice Living Community celebrated an important milestone on Thursday morning.
Several community leaders attended the Ribbon Cut Ceremony to reflect on the impact of the organization on the community.
“Corpus Christi Mayor Paulette Gujardo wept in many eyes with an eloquent reminder that God answers the prayers of our community through us,” said Jennifer, founder of the Choice Living Community. Dr. Scott said.
Choice Living Community is a day rehabilitation center that offers innovative programs for adults with disabilities.
This program focuses on teaching vocational, living and social skills to help adults with disabilities live more independently.
The non-profit organization was first set up at Special Hearts in the Art Building, just off South Alameda Street. After that, Community Choice Living moved to the Annapolis Christian Academy campus, but eventually to a new building.
“We are celebrating their new location and the expansion of services in the areas of profession, society and living skills. Dr. Jennifer Scott is dedicated to keeping our disabled people from being left behind. It is very heartfelt to be there, “Gaujardo said.
Choice Community Living is located at 3875 S. Staples St. and is currently accepting applications for the Summer 2022 program.
