As the holidays approach, a small organization across Metro Atlanta is preparing to give back to those in need and is looking for volunteers to help.

The West Atlanta Young Generation Movement will distribute fresh produce to the community on Tuesday, November 24th.The event starts at noon and lasts until 3 pm

Founder Julious Khalid says he is still collecting agricultural donations and is accepting volunteers to help hand food to those in need.

In other parts of Atlanta, some refrigerators are outside of local stores. The organization Free99 Fridge offers uncontained fresh food, essentials, books and even toys.

Outdoor nonprofits are soliciting donations at each site.

The location outside the Free99 refrigerator is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for drop-off and collection.
