Louisiana sees a surge in hospitalizations since March 2020


In Louisiana, one-day hospitalizations have surged the most throughout the state since the coronavirus pandemic began. Hospitalization was increased by 169 patients on Monday, according to Governor John Bel Edwards’ office. According to the Edwards office, this is the largest daily increase in hospitalization since March 2020. Ventilator use has also increased by more than 1,000 and 20 new deaths have been reported. A total of 6,797 new cases of coronavirus were also reported throughout the state.
