Louisville Main Street: End of the road for some businesses? – Denver, Colorado

Denver, Colorado 2020-11-26 00:36:28 –

Louisville, Colorado (KDVR) —Louisville City leaders have decided to reopen the popular main street to vehicle traffic. This is a move that some business owners say could mark the end of the road.

Over the past few months, COVID restrictions have closed the main street, allowing downtown breweries and restaurants to take tables out to the street.

“As far as I know, that’s it,” says Patrick Walsh, owner of the Po Wine House. “For many of us, here this may really be a nail in a casket.”

The city has vowed to support its business with street parking space seating areas or outdoor dining with its own curved side grab and go spot.

The main street should be open to traffic and RTD routes by December 7.
