“We provide fun, release, and express to them,” said owner Dana Vachalajani.

Juilliard-trained opera singer Vachalajani has always felt that education is her true mission. She has grown her business since 2005, but the pandemic poses new challenges. Music teachers are now finding more meaning in this work.

“We don’t think of ourselves as just music teachers. We are a kind of counselor. We listen to our students and make them happy overall. We have confirmed, “said Vachharajani.

Students range from preschoolers to adults, from beginners to those preparing for college or professional music careers.

Fifteen-year-old Emellise Munoz studied guitar and voice at Dana V. Music and said music was her passion.

“I have a guitar on the stand in my room and I just practice … whenever I get the chance,” Munoz said.

She needs to have discipline, but Munos also said she sees music as a break from her other stresses.

“Whenever something is happening at school, I can go home and write about it, which will turn into a song,” she said.

Munos Already a professional performer, A tour is planned for this fall.

Vachharajani said he encourages students to share their talents. Students perform at street corners, local trade fairs, and senior community centers. Ultimately, her hope is that the students will feel part of the family.

“If they had beautiful memories when they were adults and told their kids” I remember taking a piano lesson with Dana V. Music “… bring it to college or career. If not, you’re taking it to your family — you’re bringing it into the world, ”she said.
