“Love Sticking” Yard Sign Campaign – Lexington-Fayette, Kentucky

Lexington, Kentucky (LEX 18) — As Black History Month approaches, we hope that two local organizations will discuss the issue of racism all year round.

Compassionate Lexington and Believing in Forever have created a garden sign to spread the message of love to Lexington.

The sign has a quote from Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The money collected from the project will be sent to a mobile library called the “Luna Library” created by Devine Carama.

“This time I chose Martin Luther King’s words:’Hate is too burdensome, so love me.’ And we are all the divisions and hatreds that are happening in our country right now. And I felt it was a great message, “Kalama said.

The Luna Library gives the younger generation African-American books to begin a conversation about overcoming racism.
