LOWELL, MASS. (WHDH)-Lowell’s postman, accused of bribeing his boss and trying to sell cocaine, is currently facing federal accusations.

A cell phone shared by another mail carrier is alleged to indicate that Nashua’s 61-year-old John Noviello has been arrested on charges of bribery and cocaine. The colleague who took the video talked to 7NEWS about the shocking arrest on condition that he remained anonymous.

“I went in from a break and he was handcuffed,” they said. “You like him because he is your colleague, but at the same time he is doing something wrong.”

According to criminal accusations, Noviello has asked the USPS supervisor to intercept packages from Puerto Rico, including “kilo,” and has offered to pay the supervisor about $ 1,800 per kilogram.

Noviello said he had been doing this with another supervisor for about 15 years and paid for the second home.

The supervisor then contacted the authorities and the investigation was initiated.

According to prosecutors, Noviello put $ 850 in Dunkin’s bag in the supervisor’s car, which they say is a bribe to convince him to go according to plan. According to the document, at some point, the supervisor tells Noviello what to tell the customer looking for the missing package, “if someone calls you, says the document is missing”. Ask if it should be.

Last month, investigators invited supervisors to participate in a controlled purchase of cocaine from Noviello, who was arrested on May 12.
