Coach Ed Orgeron said Thursday that LSU quarterback Myles Brennan hasn’t participated in the practice this week either.

“I talked to Jack (Marucci, team trainer), and he felt he was ready to go to the Alabama game,” Olgeron said at a post-practice video press conference Thursday. ..

Brennan suffered an abdominal muscle injury in Missouri on October 10, and LSU defeated South Carolina 52-24 last Saturday. Orgelon’s remarks could mean that the Tigers will start Ponchatoula’s freshman TJ Finley for the second straight week, with freshman Max Johnson as a backup.

Finley was 21-17 against a 265-yard gamecock with two touchdowns and intercepts. He was also in a hurry eight times for 24 yards and a touchdown.

Linebacker and defensive end LSU Senior Travel Smooth has announced that it will opt out of the rest of the 2020 season.
