Fresno, Calif. (KFSN) –Authorities arrested a suspect during police pursuit in a crash and murder of a teenage man in downtown Fresno earlier this month.

Marc Kane Rodriguez was wanted for murder after 19-year-old Fresno City College student Hannah Pimentel died in an accident.

According to police, 31-year-old Rodriguez is known as a member of the gang.

Investigators say Rodriguez was trying to escape police when the accident occurred at the intersection of N and Stanislaus streets.

Following the May 12 fatal accident, Fresno police changed their tracking policy.

Unmarked cars and motorcycles are not involved in high-speed tracking, except in extreme situations.

As soon as a police helicopter examines the suspect, he is instructed to withdraw the chase.
