Greensburg, PA (KDKA) — A man accused of hammering and strangling a woman stood in defense on Tuesday.
Walter Cable, 28, was accused of killing Ronnie Cable. Approximately three weeks after the missing body was reported in February 2017, a woman’s burnt and dismembered body was found.
Cable admitted that he was with female co-defendant Devin Ackamici on the night of February 17, 2017.
Cable denied Akkamichi’s previous testimony that he told the man to kill Ronnie and steal her Adderall and money.
Ackamici told the jury last week. After drinking at the Vanderglift bar, Cable told him to drive to a family-owned property in Delhi for a party. Upon arriving there, Ackamici said the cable had beaten the woman to death and burned her body.
Under the oath, Cable said his DNA was found in a can of beer on the scene, but he was not at the scene of the murder. The suspect’s murderer was repeatedly asked if he had killed the cable, but denied each time.
