Virginia Beach, Virginia (WAVY) —Virginia Beach police arrested a 37-year-old man in connection with a seriously injured shooting on the Indian River Road.

Virginia Beach police said 37-year-old Frank Debonish was arrested on Tuesday with the help of Newport News police. He has been charged with exacerbated malicious injuries, the use of firearms on a felony consignment, and possession of firearms by a convicted felony offender.

Police said the indictment resulted from a shooting on October 10 at 5600 blocks on Indian River Road. Police responded to reports of shootings in the area and were shortly after receiving a call about a walk-in gunshot wound at Center Rally Hospital.

The injured man was later transferred to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital for a life-threatening injury.
