Jackson County, Missouri (KCTV) — An independent man has been accused of threatening a Jackson County judge.

Bryon G. Postlethwait, 36, was charged with a class D felony for tampering with a judiciary.

According to court records, state witnesses told police that the defendant had told his family that he intended to kill the judge before he killed himself.

Witnesses told police that the defendant threatened to kill people for “stealing his family.”

Witnesses also told police that the defendant intended to kill the judge and had plans to “stab her, rape her with a stab wound, and have her husband watch over,” according to the document.
