Virginia Beach, Virginia (WAVY) – Virginia Beach Police have made two arrests in connection with an attempted robbery. Taken on November 16th.

Police officers were called to the 3100 block of Bowling Green Drive around 5 pm that day and arrived to find a man suffering from a serious gunshot wound.

Investigation revealed that during the attempted robbery, a shooting was actually carried out at 3200 blocks of Peel Court. Police identified 19-year-old Devonte Burress and the boy as suspects in the case. They were both detained on November 23.

Burress was charged with exacerbated malicious injuries, the use of firearms on a felony consignment, an attempted robbery, and a plot to commit a felony.

The boy was charged with two charges: an attempted robbery, the use of a firearm on a felony consignment, and a malicious injury.
