KOIN, Oregon — Police said a man was arrested in Missouri after threatening several school districts in Oregon in the past few weeks.
The suspect sent a bomb threat to the Sherwood school district in early November. Since then, he has also threatened several schools and hospitals in Washington, Yamhill, and Marion County, officials said.
Sherwood’s School Resources Officer James Wolfer and a city detective worked with Newberg Dundee police to discover that the man lives in St. Louis, Missouri.
SRO Wolfer contacted the FBI, who found the suspect and was able to arrest him without incident.
“SRO Wolfer took this role seriously and worked hard to assist external agencies in the event of threats from the same suspect,” Sherwood police said.
The Tygard Police Station, Marion County Security Officer Office, Newberg-Dundee Police Station, Portland US Law Office, and St. Louis FBI Field Office were all involved in the investigation and arrest of men.
