Solano County (CBS13) – A man is accused of attempted murder after a highway shooting in Solano County.
Around 9:35 am on Saturday, a driver’s car driving on Interstate 680 south of Gold Hill Road was shot three times. Fortunately, no one was injured in the car, according to a statement from CHP’s Golden Gate office.
CHP officials say they investigated the shooting and identified the suspect as 47-year-old Concord Darryl Thornton. Police officers served warrants at Thornton’s home, arresting Thornton on charges of attempted murder, firing on occupied vehicles, and assaulting with weapons, and imprisoning him in Solano County Jail.
This is an active investigation.
