Nashville, Tennessee (WKRN) —A helicopter pilot allegedly broke into John C. Tune Airport in West Nashville on Wednesday night and helped catch a joyride man in a stolen golf cart. ..
According to the warrant, airport police responded to reports of a “suspicious” man who somehow accessed the ramp area of the airport off Centennial Boulevard at around 6:30 pm.
Police reported that a man was stealing a golf cart and driving the ramp area on his way from Nashville International Airport to John C. Tune Airport.
Airport police said the man eventually faced a helicopter pilot and was detained when police arrived.
The 26-year-old was put in metro prison late Wednesday night on several charges, including an airport security breach and a criminal trespass.
He was released early Thursday morning with a $ 1,500 deposit.
