Spartanberg County, South Carolina (WSPA) – A man was charged after two shootings in Spartanberg County early Saturday morning.
According to the Sheriff’s Office in Spartanberg, the agent responded to the areas of Highway 101 South and Highway 417 regarding weapon turmoil at 12:30 am.
The case report did not mention what had happened, but the suspect was listed as Joseph Dmitriel Stinson, 40, of Woodruff.
The agent also responded to Switzer Greenwood Road’s 1600 block at 1:30 am in connection with the weapon turmoil.
When the agent arrived, he saw a gray car parked by the side of the road and talked to the victim who said he was down Reedville Road near Highway 101.
The driver said he approached the man and saw him holding a gun, and that was when the man started shooting his car.
The victim told his agent that he did not know the suspect or why he would shoot him.
According to the accident report, the victim was not injured, but noticed that the back tire on the driver’s side was flat and had a bullet-sized hole in the tire.
The case report listed Stinson as the suspect.
Stinson was charged with two attempted murders and two weapons possessions during a violent crime.
He is not currently detained at the Spartanberg County Detention Center.
