Thomas Clement, 30, was convicted of a single murder in a deadly shooting in 2019 in northern St. Louis County. He was originally charged with one count of second murder and armed criminal activity, The second murder charge was later upgraded to the first murder.

According to police, Larry Neil Jr., 31, was walking in the breeze of an apartment on Chesapeake Drive’s 6800 block when he stumbled upon a barbecue on July 7, 2019 and fell into the door of Clement’s apartment. rice field. He and his friends were back from the birthday party when Neil stumbled.

A friend helped Neil back up and they climbed the nearby stairs. Clement went out with a gun after hearing Neil hit the grill and the door. Clement and Neil argued verbally, and when Clement shot him 10 times and hit him eight times on his back and sides, Neil came back down the stairs. Neil was not armed. Florissant’s Neil was later declared dead.

Clement’s decision was set on December 3, 2021. One murder has been sentenced to life imprisonment.
