Platte County, Missouri (KCTV) – A man was detained after shooting someone from the porch on Saturday afternoon.

According to Major Eric Holland of the Pratt County Sheriff’s Office, police officers were called to block 4700 on Northwest Fisk Avenue at around 1:15 pm for gunshots.

He said the man fired two bullets at another person from his doorstep.

The man is detained and talking to a detective.

Police are currently working to find out who was shot. When the police arrived, the person fled and was not at the scene, so it is unknown if the person was injured.

Police blocked part of Fisk Avenue while investigating the case. Unable to go to work across the barricade, they cleared up around 7 pm, according to a frustrated witness called KCTV5.
