Spartanburg County, South Carolina (WSPA) – A man in Boiling Springs died in a hospital on Friday after being injured in a collision on Monday, July 19.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the collision occurred on Monday, July 19, at about 4:54 pm on SC Highway 9 near the Blue Ridge Mountains in Spartanburg County.
According to Corporal Matt Southern, the driver of the 2005 Lincoln sedan was moving south on Highway 9 when he tried to turn left into a driveway. Southern said it was when a 2013 jeep heading north on Highway 9 struck a sedan.
The Jeep driver was unharmed. Sedan drivers were taken to a nearby hospital, where they were later sentenced to death.
Coroner, Spartanberg County, identified the victim as 84-year-old William George Goforce.
Goforth was sentenced to die in the hospital late Friday, July 23.
