Patrick Pluit’s death dominated the murder

Portland, Oregon (KOIN) — Police said police began investigating the murder almost two weeks after a man was injured during a battle in Southwest Portland.

According to the Portland Police Department, on the night of July 15, police officers were called to Southwest Broadway and Southwest Ankeny Street and found 50-year-old Patrick Pluit unconscious. Pluit was taken to the hospital with a life-threatening injury.

According to police, investigators learned that Pluit was fighting another man who left the scene before the police arrived.

Pluit died in the hospital on Monday night.

No suspicious information has been released and no arrests have been made at this time.
