Man gravely injured after shooting at home in north Minneapolis

An unidentified man in his 50s was hospitalized late Friday night for a life-threatening injury after being shot dead at a house on Elwood Avenue in northern Minneapolis, 800 blocks, police said.

According to police, three suspects fled the scene after stealing the victim’s car. This is a 2004 silver Toyota Tundra pickup truck that turned out to be abandoned at St. Paul.

Officers responded after the shooting was reported around 9:15 pm on Friday. The caller told police that the man was in the front yard of the house and he was screaming that he had been shot. Police arrived and provided treatment before being rescued by a rescuer who took the man to the hospital to treat the gunshot wound.

The victim’s name and condition have not been disclosed by police. According to police, the man was in the house with the suspect at the time of the shooting.

According to police, the suspects were two men and one woman. The relationship with the victim is unknown.
